Job Role & Responsibilities
As an HCC Medical Coder (Executive / Sr. Executive), you will:
- Review patient medical records and accurately assign HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) codes.
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM guidelines, CMS regulations, and client-specific coding requirements.
- Perform quality checks and audits for coding accuracy.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to clarify diagnoses and improve documentation.
- Maintain productivity and accuracy targets as per organizational standards.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Educational Requirement: Graduation in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or equivalent healthcare stream.
- Certification: Mandatory medical coding certification (CPC, CCS, CRC, or equivalent).
- Experience: 1–4 years in HCC coding.
- Skills Required: Strong knowledge of HCC risk adjustment coding, ICD-10-CM, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
