Job Role & Responsibilities
The QC Microbiology Trainee/Officer will support routine microbiological testing and compliance activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting microbiological analysis of raw materials, intermediates, water samples, and finished APIs
- Supporting environmental monitoring (EM) and cleanroom hygiene checks
- Performing microbial limit tests, sterility tests, and growth promotion tests
- Maintaining culture media, microbial stock, and laboratory consumables
- Documenting results as per GMP and QC documentation practices
- Assisting in qualification, calibration, and upkeep of microbiology instruments
- Following SOPs, aseptic techniques, and safety protocols
Eligibility / Qualifications
Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Microbiology or Biotechnology
Experience: Fresher to 1 year (Immediate joiners preferred)
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of microbiological testing
- Understanding of aseptic techniques
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate documentation
- Enthusiasm to learn QC systems in a biotech API setup
