Job Role & Responsibilities
The Executive – Bioanalytical position is a core technical role within the Bioanalytical Department. The selected candidate will independently handle bioanalytical studies while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and quality systems. The responsibilities span analytical execution, quality oversight, and laboratory custodianship, depending on assigned functional responsibility.
Analyst Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate sensitive and robust bioanalytical methods using SPE, LLE, and other extraction techniques
- Perform quantitative analysis using LC-MS/MS and HPLC for drug substances and biological samples
- Independently conduct sample analysis for Bioavailability and Bioequivalence studies with high accuracy and reproducibility
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate analytical instruments as per approved SOPs
- Ensure strict compliance with Good Laboratory Practices and Good Documentation Practices
- Maintain awareness and application of current regulatory guidelines applicable to bioanalytical laboratories
Quality Control Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quality control checks for method validation and BA/BE study data
- Conduct compliance checks for project and non-project laboratory activities
- Review analytical documentation to identify gaps, deviations, or non-compliances
- Respond to QA and Regulatory observations with scientifically sound CAPA
- Review and verify instrument calibration records for accuracy and traceability
- Periodically evaluate laboratory GLP compliance and recommend improvements
Custodian Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of biological samples, matrices, and analytical reference standards
- Ensure accurate documentation and traceability of stored samples
- Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperature records on a routine basis
- Perform daily instrument calibration and verify third-party calibration activities
- Handle operational challenges related to sample storage, retrieval, and inventory control
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: M.Pharm, M.Sc
- Specialization: Pharmaceutical Analysis, Bioanalysis, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences
- Experience Required: 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in a regulated bioanalytical laboratory
