Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Medical Coder at HealthMedPro, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and accuracy of coding deliverables. Your responsibilities include:
- Assigning accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and medical services.
- Ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific coding guidelines.
- Conducting code audits to minimize claim denials and enhance revenue accuracy.
- Collaborating with the audit and quality assurance teams to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Maintaining updated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding regulations.
- Supporting the team with regular training updates and cross-functional collaboration.

Eligibility / Qualifications
- Education: Graduation in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field (B.Sc, B.Pharm, B.Tech Biotech, BPT, etc.)
- Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) – Mandatory
- Experience: 2–3 years in medical coding (preferably hospital-based or RCM domain)
- Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills
- Good communication and adaptability skills
