Job Role and Responsibilities

The Data Management Associate I works within the global data management solutions group and supports database-related activities used in nonclinical studies and research projects. The role focuses on learning the processes involved in clinical research data management, database population, and data validation workflows.

Database Management Responsibilities

• Learn how to review study documents such as protocols and research reports to extract relevant data for database entry

• Compile metadata required to populate internal research databases

• Assist in preparing and generating database requests for research studies

• Perform quality checks on compiled datasets before database submission

• Convert manually compiled data, often from spreadsheets, into formats suitable for database systems

• Generate information searches to identify relevant study data within required timelines

Software and Data Tools

• Use software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management applications to support daily tasks

• Work with collaboration and document-sharing platforms used within research teams

• Generate tables, datasets, and spreadsheets for reporting purposes
