Job Role & Responsibilities

Senior Officer / Executive – Formulation & Development

The selected candidate will play a key role in developing and optimizing sterile pharmaceutical formulations. This position is critical to ensuring successful product development, scale-up, and technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:

• Development and optimization of sterile formulations including injectables and ophthalmic products
• Planning and execution of formulation trials in line with regulatory guidelines
• Supporting scale-up activities and technology transfer to manufacturing units
• Preparation, review, and maintenance of formulation and development documentation
• Drafting and reviewing protocols, reports, and batch manufacturing records
• Ensuring compliance with cGMP, GLP, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Working in alignment with ICH, FDA, and WHO guidelines
• Coordinating with QA, QC, Production, and Regulatory Affairs teams
• Supporting troubleshooting activities during development and scale-up
• Participating in stability studies and validation support activities

This role provides hands-on exposure to the full product development lifecycle, from laboratory formulation to commercial manufacturing readiness.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

B.Pharm, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics or related disciplines)

Experience Requirements:

• 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical formulation and development
• Hands-on exposure to sterile dosage forms such as injectables or ophthalmics
• Experience working in regulated R&D environments is preferred

Additional Skills:

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical development principles
• Working knowledge of regulatory documentation and compliance
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Good communication and technical documentation skills
