Job Role & Responsibilities
Trainee – QC Microbiology Pelltech Healthcare
This role focuses on supporting microbiology laboratory activities under the guidance of senior analysts while building core skills in aseptic techniques and quality control testing.
Media Preparation & Sterilization
- Assist in preparation of microbiological media including weighing, dissolving, and sterilization using autoclaves
- Support growth promotion testing using reference cultures
- Help in sterilization and decontamination of lab materials and waste
Environmental Monitoring
- Support environmental monitoring using settle plates, active air samplers, and surface swabs
- Assist in personnel monitoring such as finger dab and gowning checks
- Perform water sampling from purified water systems as per SOP
Testing Support
- Assist in microbiological testing including MLT, BET, and sterility testing
- Monitor incubators and ensure temperature compliance
- Support sub-culturing of reference organisms under supervision
Equipment Handling
- Work with autoclaves, incubators, LAF (Laminar Air Flow), air samplers, pH meters, and analytical balances
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records following ALCOA+ data integrity principles
- Follow GMP, GLP, and aseptic practices strictly
- Adhere to gowning procedures and cleanroom discipline
- Support 5S practices and laboratory safety standards
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: B.Sc, M.Sc (Microbiology, Life Sciences), B.Pharm
- Experience: 0–1 year (OSD or pharma experience preferred)
- Basic understanding of microbiology and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as autoclave, incubator, and LAF
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Relevant Courses: BSc Microbiology, MSc Microbiology, BSc Life Sciences, MSc Life Sciences, B.Pharm
Location & Salary
- Work Mode: On-site
- Salary Range: ₹1.8 LPA – ₹3.2 LPA (approximate for fresher QC microbiology roles in pharma industry)
