Job Role & Responsibilities

Research Associate – R&D (API & Intermediates)

As a Research Associate, you will be directly involved in laboratory-based research activities that support API development and process optimization. This role requires strong fundamentals in organic chemistry and the ability to translate lab-scale experiments into scalable manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop scalable synthetic routes for APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates
• Perform reaction optimization to improve yield, reduce impurities, and enhance process efficiency
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and deviations during experimental studies
• Maintain detailed experimental records, lab notebooks, and development reports
• Collaborate with Analytical R&D teams for method development and impurity profiling
• Support scale-up activities and technology transfer from lab to production
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and laboratory standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within R&D operations

This role plays a critical part in drug development by ensuring that chemical processes are efficient, reproducible, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following educational criteria:

M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, M.Sc Chemistry
