Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Research Associate – R&D, you will be directly involved in laboratory-based research and development activities related to API and intermediate synthesis.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize scalable synthetic routes for APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates
- Perform reaction optimization to improve yield, purity, and process efficiency
- Identify and troubleshoot process deviations and scale-up challenges
- Maintain accurate experimental records, lab notebooks, and development reports
- Collaborate with Analytical R&D teams for method development and impurity profiling
- Support scale-up, pilot plant trials, and technology transfer activities
- Follow safety, quality, and documentation standards within the R&D laboratory
This role plays a critical part in strengthening the company’s API pipeline and supporting commercial manufacturing readiness.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Required Education
Candidates must have completed one of the following:
MSc Organic Chemistry, MSc Chemistry
Experience Requirement
- Experience: 0 to 2 years
- Fresh postgraduates with strong academic or project experience may apply
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms
- Hands-on laboratory skills in organic chemistry
- Ability to analyze reaction outcomes and optimize conditions
