Job Role & Responsibilities
Vimta is hiring for multiple levels — Analysts, Senior Analysts and Team Leads. Roles require strong laboratory skills, attention to documentation, and an understanding of quality systems.
Nutrition & Water — Analyst / Senior Analyst (15 positions, 1–6 years)
Key tasks:
- Perform vitamin analysis, preservative and food color testing using HPLC.
- Carry out fatty acid profiling via GC and interpret chromatograms.
- Execute routine assay, dissolution (where applicable), and related analytical tests.
- Maintain instrument logs, calibration records, and batch documentation.
- Ensure data integrity and follow SOPs for sampling, analysis and reporting.
Microbiology — Analyst (4 positions, 2–4 years)
Key tasks:
- Conduct microbiological testing of food and water samples (TPC, yeast & mold, coliforms, E. coli, pathogens as applicable).
- Perform environmental monitoring and culture handling in line with lab QMS.
- Prepare media, run plate counts, MPNs, and report results per ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and support internal audits and client queries.
Residues — Analyst / Senior Analyst (4 positions, 2–6 years)
Key tasks:
- Operate, calibrate and maintain GCMSMS and LCMSMS instruments.
- Perform sample prep for pesticide residues, veterinary drugs, and contaminants.
- Execute method validation, system suitability checks and generate reports.
- Troubleshoot instrument-related issues and ensure compliance with SOPs.
Residues — Team Lead / Group Leader (3 positions, 6–8 years)
Key tasks:
- Lead and mentor a team of 5–10 analysts in residues testing.
- Oversee instrument performance, method validation and project timelines.
- Coordinate with QA and lab management for resource planning and CAPA implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement in analytical workflows and client deliverables.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Required qualifications: B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related disciplines.
Experience: 1–8 years depending on role.
Must-have skills: Practical experience with HPLC, GC, GCMSMS, LCMSMS; strong documentation and ISO/IEC 17025 familiarity for microbiology roles; solid data handling and reporting discipline.
Relevant courses (comma-separated): B.Sc Chemistry, B.Sc Food Technology, B.Sc Microbiology, M.Sc Chemistry, M.Sc Microbiology, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Diploma in Food Technology, PG Diploma in Analytical Techniques.
