Job Role & Responsibilities
Positions:
- Scientist 1 (Officer) – API R&D Synthesis
- Scientist 2 (Executive) – API R&D Synthesis
Key Responsibilities:
1. Chemical Synthesis & Process Development
- Perform synthesis and purification of assigned molecules.
- Execute process development activities for new and existing molecules.
- Conduct experiments under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Support validation of developed processes in pilot and commercial-scale manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth Tech Transfer activities.
- Drive innovation to improve yields, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
2. LDR & DMF Filing
- Prepare Laboratory Development Reports (LDRs).
- Maintain laboratory notebooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure documentation meets global regulatory standards for DMF filing.
3. Scale-Up Operations
- Support process validation at pilot plant level.
- Assist in transitioning validated processes to large-scale commercial manufacturing.
4. Analytical Support
- Interpret analytical data including NMR, Mass Spectrometry, IR, HPLC, and GC results.
- Collaborate with Analytical Development Laboratory (ADL) for sample processing.
5. Audit & Compliance
- Verify and ensure timely submission of internal and external audit reports.
- Guarantee 100% compliance with SOPs, company policies, and regulatory frameworks.
6. Research & Development
- Conduct literature reviews for feasibility, process optimization, and product safety.
- Prepare detailed research reports to support ongoing and new projects.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Education: M.Sc. Organic Chemistry, B.Sc. Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Chemistry
- Experience: 2–8 years in API synthesis, process development, or R&D
- Strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and process scale-up
- Familiarity with GMP, regulatory compliance, and DMF documentation
- Willingness to work in 3 rotational shifts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
