Job Role & Responsibilities

As an Executive / Sr. Executive in IPR, you will be responsible for supporting the company’s research and innovation through effective intellectual property management. Your key responsibilities include:

• Conducting patent searches, novelty assessments, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.
• Drafting and reviewing patent specifications, claims, and applications.
• Assisting in patent filing, prosecution, and IP portfolio management.
• Performing technical literature reviews, identifying patentable inventions, and maintaining documentation.
• Coordinating with R&D, regulatory, and legal teams to ensure compliance with IP laws.
• Supporting IP audits, competitor intelligence, and risk analysis.
• Assisting in responding to office actions and oppositions.

Eligibility / Qualifications

To qualify for the position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• B.Pharm, M.Pharm, M.Sc (Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines).

Experience:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in IPR, preferably within API or formulation pharmaceutical companies.

Core Skills:

• Strong understanding of patent laws and drug regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with databases like Questel Orbit, Derwent Innovation, PatBase, or WIPO.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and documentation abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
