Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate in the Chemistry division, you’ll be an integral part of Aragen’s discovery chemistry projects. The role involves executing key synthesis operations, maintaining compliance standards, and contributing to breakthrough R&D initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and execute organic synthesis reactions to achieve target molecules and intermediates.
- Perform purification, characterization, and analytical evaluation of synthesized compounds.
- Ensure safety and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and internal safety norms.
- Maintain accurate experimental records, data integrity, and documentation as per IP and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with analytical and process chemistry teams.
- Contribute to project timelines and ensure successful delivery of assigned tasks.
This position provides hands-on exposure to modern chemistry tools and techniques, allowing candidates to work on projects for global pharmaceutical partners.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or Applied Chemistry from a recognized university.
Experience:
2 to 6 years of relevant experience in discovery chemistry or synthetic organic chemistry, preferably from a CRO (Contract Research Organization) background.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and synthetic methodologies.
- Proficiency in handling instruments like HPLC, NMR, LC-MS, GC, and other analytical tools.
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
- Team-oriented mindset and good communication skills.
