Junior Research Fellow

NIPER-G is offering a Junior Research Fellow position under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) sponsored project. This 3-year project, titled “Exploiting the electron transfer parameters for the prediction of selectivities in Cytochrome P450 catalyzed biotransformations of industrial importance” (GAP-147), is an exciting opportunity for those with a passion for pharmaceutical research.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- plus 16% HRA
No. of Positions: 1 (one)

Qualifications and Experience

• Essential: Postgraduate degree (M.S./M.Pharm./MSc.) in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacoinformatics, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks from a reputed institute.
• GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET: Candidates with a master’s degree should have qualified in GPAT, GATE, or any National entrance test conducted by a central Government department.
• Desirable: Experience in molecular modeling, chemoinformatics, and drug design software, proficiency in software like Amber, Gaussian 09/16, Openbabel, basic python/shell programming skills, and exposure to GUI development. Good knowledge of medicinal chemistry, drug metabolism, and biochemistry principles, along with familiarity with various computer operating systems (e.g., Linux and Windows).

Max. Age limit: 28 years (Age relaxation as per GoI norms)
