Job Role & Responsibilities
As a QC Trainee, you will work in the Quality Control laboratory and support calibration, maintenance, and compliance activities for analytical instruments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform daily calibration and verification of instruments such as pH meters, conductivity meters, balances, and Milli-Q systems
- Execute scheduled calibration activities for QC laboratory instruments
- Support preventive maintenance and upkeep of laboratory instruments
- Maintain and manage portable instruments used in QC labs
- Coordinate with service engineers for instrument breakdowns and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with cGLP and regulatory standards in the laboratory
- Update calibration schedules, maintenance logs, and instrument records
- Handle inventory management activities including chemical tracking, LIMS updates, and disposal
- Support qualification and AMC-related activities for QC instruments
- Coordinate with validation teams for computer system validation activities
- Maintain proper documentation as per regulatory and audit requirements
This role directly supports pharmaceutical quality systems and ensures accurate testing environments for drug development and manufacturing.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
MSc Chemistry, MSc Analytical Chemistry, MSc Organic Chemistry, MSc Pharmaceutical Chemistry, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Life Sciences
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of quality control and laboratory practices
- Knowledge of GMP and cGLP guidelines
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and calibration processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
