Job Role & Responsibilities
As an Associate STEM Content Analyst, you will be responsible for the accurate indexing, coding, and extraction of chemical and pharmaceutical information from patents. Your contribution will support global R&D teams in making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Index and code chemical compounds and related patent data.
- Extract pharmaceutical, therapeutic, and agrochemical activities, chemical reactions, drug information, and draw Markush structures from patents.
- Achieve target volume deliverables with high efficiency and quality.
- Keep up-to-date with trends and developments in pharmaceutical and chemistry domains.
- Demonstrate proficiency with chemical structure handling tools; knowledge of IUPAC nomenclature is an asset.
- Apply in-depth chemistry knowledge, including reactions, formulae, catalysts, additives, and functions.
- Complete tasks assigned by managers, prioritizing based on requirements and maintaining adaptability.
- Collaborate within and across teams to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a trusted resource for delivering high-quality scientific content for DWPI™.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Education: M.Sc Chemistry, M.Sc Biochemistry, B.Pharm, or M.Pharm.
- Experience: Fresher or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with chemical drawing packages (e.g., ISIS Draw).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of IUPAC nomenclature and chemical structure representation.
- Flexibility and adaptability to process changes.
