Job Role & Responsibilities
Production Officer / Assistant Manager – Tablet & Softgel
This role involves end-to-end involvement in tablet and softgel manufacturing. Candidates will be responsible for daily production operations, machine handling, compliance activities, and process controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring granulation, coating, compression, and softgel production machines
- Supervising day-to-day production activities as per cGMP and safety guidelines
- Ensuring all documentation including BMR/BPR is accurate and audit-ready
- Coordinating with QA, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to maintain smooth workflow and timely batch execution
- Supporting line clearance, in-process quality checks, and batch changeovers
- Maintaining equipment cleanliness, calibration adherence, and preventive maintenance practices
- Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce deviations
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory norms applicable to tablet and softgel manufacturing
Eligibility / Qualifications
Candidates should hold one of the following qualifications:
- B.Pharm, M.Pharm
- B.Sc, M.Sc
- Accepted specializations: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences
Experience Requirement:
- 0 to 9 years of experience in tablet or softgel manufacturing
- Hands-on exposure to granulation, compression, coating, and softgel operations preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, documentation controls, safety standards, and in-process checks
