Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd is looking for qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Senior Officer – Quality Assurance at its Paonta Sahib location.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates from B Pharm or M.Pharm backgrounds with a strong interest in In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) and compliance monitoring. If you have 2–5 years of relevant experience in QA in oral solid dosage manufacturing, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Documentation
- Conduct in-process monitoring for tablet and capsule manufacturing and packing.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and batch documentation (FO/MI, PO/PI).
- Review executed batch production records and facilitate document submission.
- Calibrate and document IPQA instruments regularly.
- Back up instrument data per SOP timelines.
- Track environmental conditions as per batch and SOP.
- Certify records for stage-wise compliance.
- Report non-conformances or deviations promptly.
- Compile and enter data for Annual Product Review (APR).
- Train junior staff on quality protocols.
Line Clearance
- Confirm cleanliness of area and equipment before use.
- Prevent cross-contamination and material mix-up.
- Verify environmental parameters: temperature, RH, pressure.
- Ensure all records are updated till the prior stage.
- Match materials and labels with batch production records.
In-Process Checks
- Ensure calibrated instruments are used.
- Conduct checks as per approved manufacturing and packaging instructions.
- Collect, sign, and attach printouts to the production records.
- Notify management of any in-process failures.
- Maintain thorough documentation.
Inspection and Sampling
- Inspect bulk tablets/capsules and finished goods per SOP.
- Clear transfer tickets and verify quantity/batch data.
- Follow SOP-based sampling procedures.
- Conduct sampling for in-process, validation, control, and stability.
Approval
- Approve coding pattern on packaging components per SOP.
Educational Qualifications
- B Pharm or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline
Required Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in QA, IPQA, or manufacturing QA roles in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong familiarity with oral solid dosage forms, cGMP, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance
