Job Role & Responsibilities

Executive – Patent (IPR: Small Molecules & Biologics)

• Conduct patent searches using tools such as SciFinder and Orbit
• Prepare intellectual property landscape reports and competitive analysis
• Perform literature search for APIs, intermediates, and formulations
• Develop Freedom to Operate (FTO) reports for pharmaceutical products
• Analyze patentability and support drafting of patent applications
• Track global patent publications and maintain internal IP databases
• Prepare generic entry strategies for different countries
• Ensure regular updates of patent reports and documentation

Eligibility / Qualifications

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

M.Pharm (Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics)

Relevant courses include: Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Drug Discovery, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Pharmaceutical Analysis, Regulatory Affairs, Organic Chemistry

• Experience: 2 to 6 years in patent research or pharmaceutical IPR
• Strong knowledge of patent databases and tools like SciFinder and Orbit
• Experience in FTO analysis, patent drafting, and IP strategy preferred
• Understanding of small molecules and biologics is an added advantage
