Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Research Associate, the selected candidate will actively contribute to pre-clinical and formulation research within the ongoing sponsored project. The focus of this project is to evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of Lysofylline Prodrug in diabetic animal models, an initiative aimed at developing better therapeutic interventions for diabetes management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and analyze experimental protocols related to formulation development and molecular biology studies.
- Conduct animal experimentation, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic assessments, and toxicity evaluations.
- Participate in the synthesis and characterization of nanoformulations and polymers for drug delivery.
- Manage laboratory data, maintain accurate records, and compile reports for publication and project documentation.
- Collaborate with research teams to ensure compliance with GxP and ethical standards in animal studies.
- Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations to disseminate project findings.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Essential Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or allied disciplines, OR
- First-class Postgraduate degree (M.Pharm/M.Tech/M.S. Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related fields with at least 3 years of research experience in formulation development, molecular biology techniques, and animal experimentation.
Desirable Qualification:
- Expertise in nanoformulation development, polymer synthesis, molecular biology-based assays, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic/toxicity studies.
- Prior experience working with animal models of metabolic disorders (especially diabetes).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation and research documentation.
