Job Role & Responsibilities

Role: Medical Coder – Denials Radiology
Experience: 2–3 Years (with valid coding certification)
Shift: Primarily Day Shift (subject to client requirement)
Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records and radiology reports for coding accuracy and compliance.
• Apply correct CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for Denials and Radiology claims.
• Evaluate denied claims and work on resolving coding-related rejections.
• Collaborate with the billing and audit teams to ensure denial resolution and clean claim submission.
• Stay updated with the latest AAPC and AHIMA coding guidelines.

Tools & Systems: EHR, EncoderPro, Optum, 3M, and other medical coding software.

Eligibility / Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

• Graduate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or Biotechnology preferred.
  (Relevant courses: B.Sc. Life Sciences, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Medical Lab Technology)

Certifications (Mandatory):

• CPC, COC, CCS, or equivalent certification from AAPC / AHIMA.

Experience Required: 2–3 years of experience in Denials Management, Radiology Coding, or HCC coding.

Desired Skills:

• Strong understanding of coding guidelines and payer policies.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple claim types efficiently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
