Job Role & Responsibilities
Senior Officer – Upstream / Downstream Production
Experience: 2–5 years
Department: Biosimilar Production
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor upstream bioprocess equipment including bioreactors, media prep units, and automated systems.
- Support downstream purification steps such as chromatography, filtration, and buffer preparation.
- Maintain strict GMP compliance, documentation accuracy, and batch execution records.
- Assist in troubleshooting process deviations and ensuring process consistency.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, and manufacturing teams for seamless production activities.
- Support scale-up, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Eligibility / Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in any biosimilar or biopharmaceutical company.
- Hands-on exposure to upstream or downstream unit operations.
- Strong understanding of GMP, aseptic concepts, documentation, and biotechnology processes.
Preferred Courses
- BSc Biotechnology, MSc Biotechnology
- BTech Biotechnology, MTech Biotechnology
- M.Sc Microbiology, Biochemistry
- Related life science or bioprocessing qualifications
