Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Data Analyst, you will analyze healthcare policies, generate insights, and support strategic decision-making in pharmaceutical and payer environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical and pharmacy policies from US healthcare payers
- Interpret complex policy data including formulary status, prior authorization (PA), and step therapy (ST)
- Validate healthcare policies against business-defined criteria and compliance requirements
- Analyze healthcare datasets and generate actionable insights for business teams
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Use tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, and analytics platforms for data interpretation
- Develop reports and dashboards for decision-making
- Provide recommendations to improve healthcare processes and outcomes
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Communicate insights clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory, market access, and analytics teams
- Support strategic planning through data-driven recommendations
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain documentation related to healthcare policy analysis and compliance
- Ensure alignment with US healthcare regulations and payer requirements
Eligibility / Qualifications
Educational Background:
B.Pharmacy, M.Pharmacy, Pharm.D, BDS, Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Biotechnology
Experience Required:
- 2–5 years of experience in healthcare, pharma, pharmacovigilance, or analytics roles
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, insurance systems, and compliance
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools
- Basic understanding of Python or data analytics tools is an advantage
