Job Role & Responsibilities
The Intellectual Property Management (IPM) – Formulation team plays a pivotal role in protecting MSN’s proprietary innovations and supporting global business growth. Responsibilities include:
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) and novelty searches on diverse databases for biosimilars, formulations, and APIs.
- Retrieve and analyze patent information from multiple country patent databases, including legal status and equivalents.
- Prepare patent landscapes, summarizing claims, specifications, and analyzing patent content.
- Perform patent analysis for novelty, FTO assessment, and due diligence reports across geographies.
- Review, interpret, and analyze patent file histories and applications for multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist in drafting patents, filing procedures, prosecution, and monitoring approvals, filings, and litigation.
- Support in responding to customer and regulatory queries related to IP.
- Collaborate with formulation and R&D teams to align IP strategy with project development.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical patents, APIs, biosimilars, and global IP databases.
- Ability to conduct detailed FTO, novelty, and patent landscape analysis.
- Familiarity with patent drafting, filing, prosecution, and regulatory submissions.
