Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Patent Executive at Torrent Pharma, you will play a crucial role in protecting the company’s intellectual assets and ensuring regulatory compliance in global markets. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting literature search related to API and formulations.
- Preparing IP landscape reports to identify opportunities and risks.
- Performing FTO (Freedom to Operate) analysis for formulations, APIs, and intermediates.
- Carrying out patent infringement analysis to provide clearance for F&D and API teams.
- Offering preliminary IP status reports for targeted countries.
- Conducting patentability assessments and drafting patent applications.
- Regularly updating reports and ensuring compliance with global patent regulations.
Eligibility / Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification:
- M.Pharm (Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutics) OR
- M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry)
- Experience: 2–6 years in patent analysis, IPR, or related roles within the pharma sector.
- Key Skills:
- Knowledge of global patent laws and IP guidelines.
- Expertise in patent search databases.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to support cross-functional R&D teams.
