Job Role & Responsibilities
As an Executive in Formulation Tech Transfer (FTT), you will play a crucial role in bridging research and manufacturing by ensuring seamless technology transfer. Your key responsibilities include:
- Understanding technology received from the Formulation & Development (F&D) department
- Designing optimization for process parameters and participating in R&D trials
- Transferring technology from R&D to the receiving site for production
- Monitoring demo, exhibit, scale-up, and optimization batches
- Reviewing technical documents, product details, and raw material/equipment requirements for plant trials and exhibit batches
- Proposing and finalizing batch sizes based on equipment capacity, qualification, scale-up factors, and annual requirements
- Collaborating with F&D during technology transfer demo batches
- Conducting scale-up batches at manufacturing sites and preparing protocols, reports, and risk assessments
- Handling troubleshooting during exhibit batches at manufacturing sites
- Preparing comprehensive summary reports
- Investigating deviations, OOS (Out of Specification), and OOT (Out of Trend) cases during scale-up/exhibit batches
- Drafting regulatory responses for agency queries
Eligibility / Qualifications
- Qualification: M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Industrial Pharmacy, or related disciplines)
- Experience: 2–8 years (experience in US & European market projects preferred)
- Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of formulation development & tech transfer
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance for international markets
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting manufacturing issues
Relevant education backgrounds include: M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Analysis).
